Garmin nuvi 550
The nuvi 550 is one of Gramin’s multi mode navigation devices. This Garmin nuvi 550 features driving, walking, bicycling and boating modes. It is similar in design to a Garmin nuvi 200 model with ruggedized cases and screens that make the nuvi 550 waterproof and therefore able to handle jobs on the trail or on the water.

Garmin: Maps & Roads
On the Garmin nuvi 550 you can easily look up millions of places, addresses and services and get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions to your destination. New maps can be added via preloaded MicroSD cards. The card slot is located inside the waterproof battery compartment of the Garmin nuvi 550, so you don't have to worry about getting it wet.

Garmin: Extra's
Next to navigation the Garmin 550 includes all sorts of travel tools such as a clock with time zones, a convertor, a calculator and more. The Garmin nuvi 550 also supports FM traffic alerts and MSN Direct content. A nice extra of the Garmin nuvi 550 is that you can download custom vehicles via Garmin Garage. Here you can select a broom, pizza slice, snow scooter, ghost or pirate ship to show your location on the map.
