The Batu Caves in Malaysia
Tommy is in Malaysia visiting the Batu Caves. The caves served as a Hindu temple close to the year 1900 but nowadays the caves are more known for their spectacular heights. The caves reach heights of 100 meters and in order to get there Tommy first has to climb 272 stairs.

The Batu Caves can be found 10 km North of Kuala Lumpur. The Batu Caves were discovered in 1892 and it became a sacred place to the Hindu’s. That explains the giant statue of Hindu Lord Murugan.
In order to get to the caves you must climb 272 stairs. Once you reach the top you get to see the 100 meters high caves for yourself.

That the Batu Caves are very popular shows by all the shops and food stands on top of the caves. You can also find a lot of monkeys around the caves and if you’d like you can even put an Albino snake around you’re neck. The monkeys look very friendly but remember that they are still wild animals. Espied all the people who sell peanuts you shouldn’t feed the monkeys.
